THE CHALLENGE

This animated film was to be presented during the press event announcing that Sustainable Engineering and Design firm, WSP purchased Engineering firm, Golder. The acquisition created the leading Canadian Earth Sciences and Environmental Engineering Consulting Firm in the country. The work had to generate excitement and be informative to a group of engineers and investors who were anxious in this moment of their companies undergoing big change. They were also highly intelligent, logical thinkers who could bore easily and we had less than two weeks ‘till the announcement to move them.

THE SOLUTION

Give Science Wings was our mantra for an animated film that would speak to the human side of building and unite the engineers through a common goal: a better future on this planet for all, and greater potential through the merger. We wanted the Art Direction to be beautiful, approachable, surprising and inspirational.

THE RESULTS

On the day of the announcement, valuation was 500M above target and this B2B work was both defining and extremely successful for this merger. This event marked a huge move towards the future for both companies with work that was very bold for the category.
